Research

I have research interest and experience in the area of plant pathology, biological weed control, and plant ecology. I believe in an integrated approach for weed control with especial emphasis on biological control. Currently, I am involved in South Florida's melaleuca (a weedy tree of Australian origin) biocontrol and ecology projects. My research activities include: 1) search, evaluation, and development of mycoherbicidal, augmentative, and/or classical biocontrol agents, 2) evaluate the role of insect- microbial pathogen, and microbial pathogen-herbicide interaction in weed control, 3) conduct research (with other USDA-Scientists) for generating baseline data on melaleuca ecology.
